We felt there was no better way to learn about arid climates then to travel to one ourselves and experience the climate first hand. So, we packed our bags and got a plane ticket to Cairo, Egypt.
I snapped this photo of Corey getting off our plane.
We set off in our jeep to discover the wonders of the Sahara Desert
On our drive, we stumbled upon this lone palm tree. This tree is a true survivor.
This could've killed Corey, but he didn't care.
We also found another one of those deadly venomous lizards. In hindsight, this wasn't a very good idea as well.
The sun was setting and we were hungry and thirsty. I decided to ask some nomads for food.
Surprisingly, the nomads obliged to our request. It's very important to make sure you have enough liquids in your body while in the desert.
It got down to 20 degrees Fahrenheit that night! We thought deserts were hot!
After that freezing night. We figured we had seen enough, and it was time to head back to the airport to catch a plane home to Atlanta.
We learned so much on that trip, but it's good to be home!
